I’m doing a mix of purées and BLW. I agree with what was said above, whatever we’re eating I prepare a portion for baby. I homemade all of my babies food, bought ice trays and I freeze the purées so all I have to do is thaw each day and then I serve a purée (a fruit or veggie) and then offer something handheld (fruit or veggie).
I started off with giving her a spoon to see how she reacts to it. Then dipped it in food and gave it to her. I do puree and blw. She also eats once upon a farm pouches sometimes. Teething cracker, and little puffs. I try to mix it up so she doesn’t get bored or not want to eat it. Today I gave her 3 streamed green beans and puréed green beans and apple/pear puree she ate all of the puréed green beans left 1 bite of the apple/pear puree and had 1.5 of the three green beans
I would advise that the grahmcracker should not have honey. No honey till 1 year old But then she also told me no yogurt but I’m conflicted on that
I give big chuncks of banana and avocado with peel (pr-washed) Mango strips are awesome
Lentil soup, banana pancakes, yogurt, fruits, vegetables, chicken pretty much everything tho
Get the solid starts app. While you make dinner, look up at least 1 ingredient and see how to serve it.
@Katherine i have it! That's a good idea on how to use it though! I've just been looking up random things lol
@Katelyn I love that, and that's honestly the goal. What would you do if you were to order out though? Or like a pizza?
They can eat pizza crust at this age! Or on those days just do a random puree or yogurt. I drove myself crazy with the first trying to plan all HIS meals and the we did different. This is gets what we have. If that's not possible, that's when we go to his food. We always have rice rusks, bread to make toast, baby food, pouches, yogurt.
Thank you guys so much, you all rock haha
Anything we eat, baby eats - cut appropriately. Sweet potato fries, baked apples, cheerios, muffins, toast, graham crackers, eggs, chicken, pork, hamburger, pancakes, waffles, sausage… Just some things we’ve had recently lol Ideally just cut everything long and skinny like a french fry. And if it can’t be cut that way make sure it’s baked or steamed and really soft!
