Frozen embryo transfer

Hey girls, I started my period on the 23/03 and will have my scan on the 8/04 and then we will schedule the FET. They told me to take Progynova tablets 8mg a day until the scan, what I don’t understand is what does Progynova do? Because they will see me 16 days after my cycle started and they told me that I don’t need to do ovulations tests because I’m on medicated cycle ( even if egg collections I have done on a natural cycle ) do you think will I need to do injection before the FROZEN embryo transfer ? Or only use progesterone pessaries after the scan ? I just don’t want to do any more injection because with the trigger injection I had before egg collections I developed OHSS and I hated it . Also I will flight out the country on the 18th April , I think it will be around a week after FET, do you think is a problem or we should just carry on as usual? Sorry just trying to find out if anyone had the same as me. Thanks

Hey, I don't think you can get OHSS on an FET cycle. You get OHSS from an exaggerated response to ovary stimulation. They won't be stimulating your ovaries for an FET, so you won't get OHSS. Can you call the clinic and confirm what protocol they are going to use?

I recently had my transfer and I'm on progynova x3 a day, cyclogest x3 a day and then I added in 1 lubion injection as my progesterone was low. Progynova is oestrogen and helps your lining to thicken and cyclogest are the progesterone pessaries. I don't think your flight will cause any problems but check with your clinic as advice varies between doctors. Best of luck, try and enjoy the process as much as you can as it's a real tangible step towards getting that BFP ❤️

Thank you so much xx Yes I can’t weight for my FETxx the downside is that I have been taking Progynova since the 23/03 and I took already 1kg and I see so much water retention on my leg x I’m get so moody and hungry sometimes 🥲

@Bela for the egg collection it was short protocol natural cycle , now they said medicated cycle for FET but they told me to take only Progynova and then will go for a scan next week and after a few days there will be FET x they take ages to reply my emails 😒
