I’m 3 weeks post c-section and still can’t do much. I’m still in a lot of pain and also got an infection. As much as I’m struggling to stop myself doing so much and I feel bad for others having to help me. Have to remember it’s temporary and it’s for the greater good. If you over do it you will be at risk of complications x
Hey mama. You’ve just had a major abdominal surgery! You also have a wound from your placenta the size of a dinner plate in your uterus. Give yourself grace and time to heal! My midwife said to live by the 5 rule. 5 days in bed, 5 on the couch and 5 in the house and you’ll start to feel better soon. House work will always be there. Rely on your boyfriend and family if they can come.
@Jessica i know i should rest and stuff but it just hurts to hear my baby cry and i can't do anything other then ask my bf if his okay. I get jts frustrating when someone keep asking that when they are capable of doing the job but it just hurt
I am 2 months pp and still can't manage my life like it used to be. I feel so bad too
It’s important for your baby to be close to you during this stage of their life. So perhaps have a conversation with your BF to ask him if he could bring the baby to you when they are unsettled. It is your scent, heart beat, hormones that they need the most right now. Skin to skin will help you build a beautiful bond with your baby.
He is super supportive im not gonna take that away from him but my little mom heart feel like i should be there more
It took about 2 weeks before I was helping out more. My boyfriend was super helpful and supportive in that time. If you want to do more, ask him to bring the baby to you more often when he cries. You can feed and change a diaper and have a cuddle all from the comfort of your bed or couch.
I went through a period of being pretty disconnected to the baby because I couldn't do anything for him the first week. Explain that you're wanting to feel more connected and it's not a reflection on his ability to care for the baby. It's just in your nature
Yo, 3 days is nothing! You are healing from a major abdominal surgery, cut yourself a little slack and enjoy this short period of being waited on
