I used oat based yoghurt with my now toddler, but will be using coconut this time round as baby has an oat allergy
We haven’t no 🙈 we haven’t even seen a dietician yet appointment keeps getting cancelled which is very frustrating so I’m winging it upon my own research. Thankyou.
@Catherine my baby has soya and dairy🙃
We use the petits filous dairy free yoghurts if it’s not in cooking, otherwise we use the coconut collaborative yoghurt (my LG cant have soya either) x
That’s not to say you shouldn’t try it, cos they will advise you to introduce all allergens early on! But just be mindful of amount. There are lots of allergy dieticians on Instagram who are v good at explaining introductions. I think they suggest a 1/4 teaspoon mixed into something you know baby can tolerate, e.g. mashed banana, then if no reaction, try a 1/2 teaspoon etc.
My baby actually has an oat allergy as well as CMPA so we are using the little 4 packs of alpro yoghurts and she loves them. I found the big tubs were getting wasted as we wernt going through them fast enough x
Ok thankyou so much. I will have a look on instagram too. It’s so hard as my baby was “CMPA” from a few days old. Haven’t even tried cows milk since had very little support since just been on Nutramigen ever since they put it down to a reaction to cows milk.
We use the Tesco free from yogurts, he loves them 🥰
Have you tried your baby with soya yet? Just asking as 60% of babies with CMPA also have soya allergy! The protein breakdowns are v similar
