So much crying

I just can’t figure it out. Slept. Fed. Changed. Entertained. Held. No teeth. No fever. Just pooed. He is very refluxy. So different to my 1st. What could it be? I’m so wiped out by it. It’s constant.

We've had the same past few days. No idea what to do and it's proper hysterical screaming not just a little cry!

I'm gonna comment on every one of these posts I see to say SAME, you are NOT alone. My partner keeps saying "I just wish I knew why he was screaming like that" and I always show him these posts because unfortunately this is SO common at 4 months old 😭

Right there with you! I have had to leave social things a few times recently because baby girl has just been inconsolable, but like Cheryl says it’s not even crying it’s proper screaming. I’m really struggling to cope with it. With us I think it’s overtiredness because she’s only napping 30 mins max at a time, and her night sleep is very poor (sometimes stirring up to 10-12 times per night). It’s so difficult as she was sleeping through, napping beautifully and only cried when hungry at 3 months old 😢😭

@Jules I’m in the same boat!! I’m too anxious to go out at the moment as the screaming is ALOT! And he is also awake 6 plus times in the night, and will just scream ☹️☹️

Thank you all. Reassuring. I normally use wonderweeks for sanity to know when they are going through a development leap and how long it will last but it is not helping this time at all, it’s constant. 0-100 screaming.

I'm dreading it happening when out 😭😩

@Jade oh god it’s just so tough! But somewhat reassuring to hear that others are in the same position as I sometimes question whether it’s ‘normal’!

We've had the exact same - 4 months tomorrow and this has been our hardest week maybe ever?! Can't do anything for her she's just miserable all the time - doesn't want songs, playing, sitting in her fave chair, just mood swings all the time. I second someone else's comment about over tiredness - she's fighting sleep for the first time and is having very short naps. You're not alone here and I feel relieved to see this comments, I've been worried my sweet content baby is just gone!

Same here, my first born was such a little angel. She had CMPA plus severe hip dysplasia and was in a harness, cast and brace til she was 1 and she was a chilled sweet angel. Fast forward to my second and the rage in this child is unreal. Nothing calms her down! She does have reflux too but is medicated 🤷‍♀️ x

My baby screams when she’s overtired and she’s soooo particular on how I have to rock her to sleep it can be exhausting

I had the same the last few days but I’ve started baby porridge in morning and evening xx

My girl has been the same in evenings. I’ve put it down to teething, there is no tooth yet but she’s biting everything, drooling and getting so frustrated x

Same, my boy is screaming loudly since last week, making us go crazy. Thinking twice before taking him out!

I've been using Wonder Weeks and apparently with 4 month regression is quite long and not just about sleep. The fussiness lasts up to 6 weeks because they're learning to piece events together (transitions and patterns). It's probably overwhelming or at least that's what I'm rationalising 😅
