I have just given my 4 month old a few spoonfuls if baby porridge, he loved it however wont be giving anymore than that at the moment

I have, the apple and pear jar by hipp and porridge he absolutely loves it. I do it once a day x

Question have you been told to wean at 4 months or just started already ? I’ve started to wean at 4 months without being told to but he’s only on the smallest amount of porridge mixed with a fruit puree and last night he has some and he slept from 10-4am his longest stretch yet x

Gave banana

Baby porridge and rice Fruit pouches from Aldi I’ve also frozen fruit pouches in ice cube molds for when she’s teething. I’m also going to get some Freddie’s pouches from Tesco tomorrow to try those, see how she gets on

I haven't started weaning at all yet but was just curious

Not until 6 months. Baby’s digestive system not ready yet and could cause issues in the future.

Yes as we were advised to by his dietician due to bad silent reflux! Mostly just pureed veggies and fruit which he’s enjoying!

Unless told by your doctor you shouldn’t. Their stomach acid hasn’t matured enough to break down the food yet and their jaws are still forward, stopping them from chewing properly and increasing the risk of choking

You should never start the weaning with fruits! Always vegetables, if you give sweet stuff straight away they aren’t going to want the stuff that’s actually god for them, plus they are trying to make it illegal for companies to put 4 months on food packaging and you need to wait until 6 months to really start unless a professional has told you. Babies stomachs aren’t ready for it. 😬

@Rebecca very true
