@Savannah aww thank you! no there’s no way he’d eat all of this don’t worry. I’m just offering a lot as I have no idea how hungry he is 😂 this plate will also be grazed over for hours until dinner. Size wise, the bagel may be split in half so it’s easier to hold but most other bits will stay as they are. He’s 14 months old and has most of his teeth including all molars so that might be why! xx
@Tara That makes sense, mine is just beginning to get molars pushing through and I do think it's getting easier as she has more teeth! His snack looks delicious I'm sure he enjoyed it!
@Savannah food shouldn’t really be cut small until baby is an “advanced weaner” as it can pose a choking hazard. How come she is struggling? My baby is 1 and only has 5 teeth but has been ok taking big bites from about 7 months. Have you been doing BLW since 6 months? Xx
i love this! my 14 month old only eats things cut up small but i wonder how he would be if i gave him a whole bagel piece like this lol he needs to learn to take small bites
Fabulous dish
@Tara looks like a great plate of food! @Macy cutting things small is not a choking hazard as long as they are cut correctly, mainly removing any roundness to the food. For example grapes are a choking hazard but quartered length wise as poster shows on the plate are not and are then small. Small food when they're young can be hard for them before they master the pincer method though
That looks delicious! Can he eat all that? My 12 month old is still struggling to bite things that aren't cut small and only takes really small portions. Curious how much he would take of this?
