Depends on the job. Probably not 100% remote though. Maybe hybrid. I imagine there must be some in person demands needed for a federal employee
I mean if you can get the work done timely and well it shouldnt matter where you get it done. As long as its nothing classified, it wouldnt be a good look if something classified leaked, like war plans for example
If you get your work done by the end of each day without major error, i see no problem.
I work a government job, and while it isn't federal, there are a lot of flaws with completely remote positions. Most of my coworkers are required to be in office at a minimum of one day a week. There are a few other stipulations, like working for the agency a year before being able to work remotely. The only people that are given full remote are long-time employees.
@Victoria right! Like a leak if someone was just talking about actual national security or Military operations on say, Signal, on an unsecured channel with randos invited to the chat group or something! That would be an immediately fire able offense for ANY of my fed friends who work in SCIFs, but luckily none of them would be that stupid
