Monthly. I have affresh tablets that I put in
Mines tells me on the app 🤞 or if I remember when with a liquid or tablet I throw in on a empty warm wash
About once a week but that’s because it flashes when it needs cleaning so I just do it then
I try for monthly but sometimes that doesn't happen.
my washer is a smart one and it tells me when it needs to self clean 🧼😁
We do a monthly drum clean but we air it out after every wash day to make sure we don't get a build up of anything or encourage mold growth.
Ummmm how does everyone know this is a thing? Am I just stupid? I’ve literally never once thought about it

My washing machine tells us it starts beeping randomly and says tub clean. Can be fortnightly to monthly. it just depends on how many loads of washing we have done.
I clean my washing machine and my dishwasher every month with a cleaner pack. I think the washing machine one is dettol, cleans the drum and the pipes of bacteria and build up.
Not enough because there’s always something in it 😂
Probably every few months I get one of those Dr Beckman deep cleaning boxes and hoy it in when I remember x
When mine comes up that it needs a clean, it’s usually every couple of weeks. You just throw a cleaning tablet in and turn it to the setting

When I was washing cloth diapers- monthly. They recommend a monthly drum clean. Now, every 3m. That’s usually when my light lights up for a drum clean anyway. And empty the filters and stale water pipe. I do a drum clean for my dishwasher also. Every 3m.

Once a month we clean washing machine.( Hot water)with Dettol Antibacterial 5 in 1 washing machine cleaner. Also we leave the washing machine lid open after we finish our loads of washing use to air out and dry. Plus we regularly clean out the filter in the drum.
Well it gets clean while it’s washing clothes lol.
Every 2-3 months.

@Winnie yes empty. On its hottest setting, usually 90°. Or whatever “extra hot” is. Either add a cup of bleach to that or buy a washing machine cleaner/descaler esp if you have hard water that leaves deposits. The tablets are usually some form of descaler. Descaler can also clean the dishwasher also, also empty and on its hottest aka pot cycle. And clean filters for both. I’ve found a sock once in the filter, and coins always coins lol
