Name reactions?

I’m on the hunt for a name for our second baby girl. Big sister is Phoebe Quinn and I’m currently fixated on the name Olive. My husband worries it could be too silly which I do understand but I don’t personally see it that way. Curious of others reactions to this name 🤔 I also like Hazel and Gemma but fear they’re too popular. Others on the list are Maia, Indie, Cleo, but I’m not feeling that *spark* with any of those.

What’s wrong with Olive? How is that silly? Would Olivia be any less silly? I would also vote for Gemma too. Are there any names you and your hubby agree on?

@Faith I think just that it’s so directly connected to a food it sounds playful and maybe childlike, he worries about it into adulthood. I was curious if others have that reaction.

@Minna maybe I used the wrong word. I think it’s more that it sounds very cute and there’s a concern about how it would transition into adulthood. But either way I’m glad to see other people don’t seem to think this is a problem!

I love Olive, it was top of my list but my partner didn’t like it, he’s a chef so food names were out of the question, I also loved Sage 😅 I don’t think Hazel is too popular at all? I also liked this name. Similar vibes: Autumn Mabel Nina Alba
