I learned recently it’s a hormone development to sleep through the night I would take his lead. For some kids it can take a really long time. I’d ask your pediatrician too but my daughter the other night randomly woke us in the night to go to the bathroom which we felt was maybe a sign it’s coming. She wears fun princess pull ups at night until we feel she’s ready. I’ve heard from a lotttt of moms it’s really on their terms not yours but the hormone thing makes total sense to me why it’s such a varying scale!
@Becky yes he goes to the potty before bed and we could be better about making sure to limit his water in the evening. We do have a point where every time he drinks more water he has to go back to the potty. And the potty is in his bathroom but connected to his room. I like the idea of me getting him up at least once for him to go. It’s tough because I know he just hasn’t made it to the point where he can feel that he needs to go while asleep.
@Taylor Oh wow I’ve never heard that. I guess I could go back to overnight pull ups, he went like a full month without going at night so we thought he was ready but now it’s become a once a week thing and I didn’t know if there was something we could be doing to help him so he doesn’t get discouraged. Thanks for the info!
Does he go to the toilet before bed? And not have much to drink before bed? You could put a potty in his room? Or take him to the toilet through the night? You can't really do much else as night time bet wetting isn't something that can be trained if he's still wetting the bed occasionally at night time
