How much contact with work did you have on maternity leave?

I'm due back to work on 1st of May and last communication I had was on 30th of May. I talk to a few ppl from work but havnt heard from any manager. Feeling anxious about returning so I will message soon but is this normal to not hear anything?

Typically they don’t like to email to ask about when you’re coming back, it’s your responsibility to get in touch with them

When speaking to colleagues, at my place, they said to have a formal meeting with Area manager; that was because I’d requested specific days and a change of contract, from full to part time. I had all my documents, from when I left in April, was uploaded onto my payroll portal?

I barely had any contact, felt like it was up to me to sort everything out

Absolutely none 😂 I heard not a peep

None really unless I've messaged. When I went in to catch up and to let work meet my baby, my manager barely would speak to me, gave me like a minute of her time.. wasn't interested

I’ve done a few KIT days, had invites to the Christmas meal/parties and texts when a member of my team has had a baby etc or stuff my manager thinks I’d be generally interested in. He’s not spoken to me about work itself outside of the KIT days.

I’ve not heard a word from my line manager other than asking if I had the baby as I went in for a c-section 10 days earlier than my due date and I was due to work up till then. My bigger boss contacted me last month to agree my flexible working and said my line manager will contact me to arrange my fazed return…. Not a peep and I’m back in 15 days
