Agree with Caroline. I ordered mine over a year before my wedding and it arrived a couple of months before big day. You’ll likely need time for alterations too. However, if you’re going for an off the peg dress from somewhere like wed to be then you can walk out with your dress that day x
I bought my dress in Feb 2019 for our wedding planned in may 2020. Covid got in the way so I didn't end up wearing it till may 2021. I had to have more alterations done due to the delay.
I went a year and a half before my wedding as it was a custom made dress, was ready 2weeks before the wedding
I went pretty much straight away, was super lucky to find it in the second shop I went to. You then have several visits to do fittings and resizing

You will need to wait around a year if your ordering your dress. So sorry but s month won't be long enough. But wed to be you can go in and get off the rail.
12 months. The place I went to needed 6 months to order and for it to arrive
Im getting married in 3 weeks and bought my dress last July. Mines from an off the peg bridal shop but I felt the earlier the better as if I didn’t see anything that day I still had plenty of time to find something. At the time it just needed taking up but I’m now pregnant so need extra alterations for bump. Alterations started in Jan and my last fitting is next week so you need to allow time for any alterations too

6-12 months although the longer the better if you're going to a traditional wedding dress shop as they take months to make. If you're buying something off the rack you can go whenever!
