Old people

I have just been doing my weekly food shop with my children, 2 month old strapped to me & my 3 year old walking next to me & an old couple pushed my trolley out the way and huffed at me twice, on the second time I asked if there was a problem she told me I shouldn't be allowed out with 2 children by myself & im speechless, why are old people so entitled 🫠 I know there's a lot of anxiety for mums around taking their children out solo & this is how they are spoken to! Thank god I am not an anxious mum in this respect but I was gobsmacked

What a strange thing for them to be annoyed about! I’m honestly finding the opposite, old people stop to coo at him and tell me he’s gorgeous which I’m obviously fine about😂

That's so weird. Ignore them as you should be proud to have gotten out and about with two kids! I find it hard with just the one 😅 You're doing amazing mama ❤️

Tell them they shouldn’t be allowed out? 😂 How rude! Don’t worry about them or let it put you off. I’ve found the opposite when I’m out, a lot of older people make an effort to come over to chat to me because I have two and very positive about them x

Old people are bizarre. I had one ask if she could hold my crying baby while out once. She was fussing in her pram while I was trying to buy a few things, and the lady was cooing over her and was like “can I pick her up?” Glad she asked so I could say no, but still..what a weird thing to want to do 🙃

If someone said that to me I’d be back in doors I struggled to get out the house to go anywhere with 2! It’s only been the past week or so I’ve managed to get out on my own with them! Due to anxiety!! You’re doing amazing! 🥰

Fwiw, now I have my own, I appreciate how hard it is. Whenever I see Mums out and about with multiple children I think they are amazing. I saw a woman with three kids and a dog the other day and thought she was superwoman. So for every idiot comment there’s surely a ton of people who see you and think you are doing brilliantly. Some people are just miseries aren’t they?

@Tilly I feel you, is a big achievement for me when I can leave the house with a toddler in the buggy and new born in the carrier, it is so hard mentaly and physicaly...some people are very bad and they don't have an empathy...most of the time I am in doors and feel like in prison

I was out in a nearby cafe the other day with my baby and another mum and baby. I had my baby in a sling carrier and hadn’t brought the pram because he usually just cries in there. Heard an elderly lady at another table saying it was weird I didn’t have a pram to put my baby in 🤣 Maybe baby carriers are unusual to that generation, I don’t know, but some people just love to dish out negativity!

That’s so weird. My mouth would have gone too fast for my brain if this was said to me. Would have told them they shouldn’t be out on their own 🤣😭
