I have started potty training my little boy is great he will sit on the potty and do a wee and a poo when we tell him to only problem is if we don’t ask he will not go himself resulting in accidents I don’t know if I’m forcing it too much
Our childminder doesn’t think he is ready yet but as he’s doing both poo and wees everytime we ask to go on potty I think he is

He sounds like he’s getting it really well! With my daughter, she didn’t have any accidents at home but at 4 years old I still have to remind her to go if she needs to- she doesn’t have accidents but will suddenly have to run to the bathroom! Your childminder should be working with you on this
We've yet to try potty training, but from what I've read, that sounds really good! The sensation of needing to go, and linking it to potty time is quite a lot for a toddler to learn. Plus they're very busy! I've definitely read to remind them, but there seems to be disagreement as to how often. I've read from 40 minutes to every 2 hours. But if what you're doing is working, and you're getting good , low pressure potty time, then I'm pretty sure that's ok. We're planning to give it a try over Easter weekend and if it works out in the same way as your little boy I will be very pleased with that.
