What type of coverage do you have? If you have coverage through the health insurance marketplace, you can add them on to your policy and it shouldn’t cost more than it does now.
Was your baby denied Medicaid? You could add baby to your health plan from your employer, may need to pay a little bit more to cover monthly premium for baby. My understanding is you’d have to do that within 30 days of baby’s birth
@Nilo Texas
@Morgan Shelton i had pregnancy Medicaid but it expires soon.
@Winnie I'm a sahm
How about father of the baby does he work and can he add baby?
https://www.hhs.texas.gov/services/health/medicaid-chip/medicaid-chip-programs-services/programs-children-adults-disabilities/programs-children-families/childrens-medicaid-chip Seems this CHIP plan may be worth looking into since there is a higher income cutoff than Medicaid.
@Winnie his insurance is too high, even just for him
We got denied for CHIP too smh
If you don’t have any medical coverage, I would suggest looking into the health insurance marketplace for Texas and having the baby on there with you.
What state?
