Unnecessarily stressed

Hi! My son is going to be 3 in June and I’m afraid I waited too long to potty train. He has a buried penis which hasn’t made its way out consistently so, I’ve been holding off in case it does. He’s very interested in the potty and has sat on it many times and observes and copies me or my husband when we use the toilet, so I’m hoping the transition won’t be too hard. I’m reading a potty training book and I’m learning a lot but it really stresses me out and I feel like I’m running out of time 😣

I was the same way and my son didn’t fully potty train until he was 3 1/2 I promise you he will go when he’s fully ready and I heard it takes longer for boys to be potty trained than girls

👋😉 Hi. I'm here to help in any way I can. Here’s what I’ve learned during my 4 decades of potty training experience as an executive nanny and a professional potty training coach. Most toddlers are developmentally, physically & cognitively ready to begin potty training between 18 months and 2 years old. ✌ Anything much older than that and a toddler will become "set in their ways" and it just gets harder and harder to break the child of the old habit of using a diaper or pull-up to pee & poop in. The longer we wait it just gets progressively harder with each passing month. Here's a quick potty training video that will help you navigate thru this and help you determine when your child is ready to begin potty training and the signs of readiness to keep an eye out for so you dont miss your child's ideal window of opportunity. https://youtu.be/-TrGQi7r8gI
