I just chop it up or mush it really fine to avoid choking hazards and serve in baby’s bowl with a spoon. They can use the spoon if they want or just dig in with their hands
I just let him dig in, e.g. chilli I mix the rice with the chilli and just make sure his isn't too saucy so the mess isn't too much haha
Let them dig their hands in. But often if I'm doing a one pot thing I will cut some of the veg into finger food then fish it out to give her on her tray.
I just make sure the pieces aren't too big or too small and let the mess begin! I offer her forks and spoons at the moment as she's showing interest in using them herself but prefers making a mess
With messier things we offer our little one a spork but he tends to throw it and just eat with his hands anyway x
We practice with a spoon/fork but eventually she just eats with her hands. But letting her have a spoon or fork has been great for development she's most figured out how they work. Hands are just faster 😆 lol
My little one didn’t properly start using a spoon/fork until around 16-18 months. It’s totally normal for them to use hands but got practice to offer them one. Those are all perfect meals to offer your little one! I find shredding the meat better than cutting it but that might be my little one’s preference. Any veg in the meals just make sure they are cut appropriately when serving
My baby (10 months) has decided that she does not want to be spoon fed, so she literally eats everything with her hands now, so messy! We had a roast dinner last night so I just give her it all on her plate to dig in! Even a curry, I just give her the bitesize pieces of chicken and sticky rice (easier to eat in clumps), she will inevitably eat some of the sauce with it anyway.
I preload the spoon and offer it to baby or put it on their plate until they’re ready to start properly using a spoon themselves.
I would offer a spoon, but mainly just hands. And usually some bread or naan or something he can dip in too.
Great ideas, thank you all 😊
