Fighting the afternoon nap
My almost 1 year old is fighting her afternoon nap off and on crying is this happening to anyone else? I just know that if she doesn’t nap she will be cranky for the rest of the day. Help I feel like I am going crazy. Thanks for any advice.

My child is doing this as well, and she will be one tomorrow. I do what I can to help her nap, if at all possible for you, like contact napping. If that doesn’t work, stop, give it 30 minutes and try again. Or do bedtime 30 minutes earlier
I swapped the the one nap a day when my babe started doing this and it was life changing
@Ashley how old was your babe when you changed to one nap a day?
She is only down to one nap a day

My almost one year old has been doing this too. She’ll take a long early nap and then not want to nap in the afternoon. I think she may just be down to one nap. I still offer the second nap but she never takes it. Bedtime is the same ( no bedtime naps) so I’m just going with it.
If she is at the point where she can understand you warn her ahead of time that the nap is coming. Like feed her lunch and tell her after you are done eating it's nap time. This reduced tantrums for me. If she isn't at the point where she can understand ya I don't know.
