Advice please!!!

My husband is away on a trip for work and he searched his room for an hour for signs of bed bugs before we got comfortable. Well the next morning he woke up to go to the bathroom and when he came back there was a bed bug literally sitting on the blanket on the bed. He immediately requested to move hotels with his job and has been in a new hotel since. He checked his clothes and bags a million times and no signs of anything. This is literally my biggest fear and I could use reassurance. I’m literally dreading him coming home in fear that he may bring them home. I don’t want my babies getting bitten😭 can anyone give me advice on what we need to do to ensure they do not enter our house with him. I’m driving myself nuts.

Just have him wash all of the clothes he had and has on and dont sit on anything until he has a fresh pair of clothes on

I’d have him bag everything up as soon as he gets home and boil wash it all. If you have a steamer use that too x

No the hot water kills them its very unlikely they survive a washing cycle

I'd personally get all his clothes bagged up and straight in the wash when he gets back! I'm paranoid about this too, so I wouldn't even allow his suitcase/holdall back in the house, it would be straight to the tip and a new one bought!

Buying a new suitcase/bag is 1000% cheaper than paying for pest control, so totally worth it for me!

@Rebecca he threw his suitcase out and washed all of his clothes in hot water and dried on high twice. I’m just worried about his shoes and his personal vehicle when he gets back in town
