Blood thinning injections

Has anyone got any advise on the blood thinning injections? I had them with my first born post c section. This pregnancy because of my health I need to take them from 12 weeks till 6 weeks postpartum. I’ve only been taking them two weeks and the bruising is so bad some injection sites have black bruises an inch all the way around. I’ve tried icing the spot and not icing the spot but the bruising isn’t getting any better. I’m not sure how I’m ment to keep injecting myself as soon I won’t have much stomach left that isn’t a bruise. Any advice please.. how to stop the bruising or is there anywhere other than your thigh and tummy you can inject?

I was on blood thinners for the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy due to IVF, my nurse told me I could inject into my thigh if I needed to. I’d speak to your GP and double check if that’s the case for you too :)

I done them in my thigh and swapped leg each time. Check if you can do your thigh as you could rotate between thighs and stomach x

I had them from 16 weeks +, I found the bump the easiest to inject in as it got bigger, double check but I have another injectable medication I have to take for my MS and I got sick of the bruising on my legs so I do hips/love handles. Antihistamine cream after might help

I have them for 6 weeks and have been injecting into thighs. I was very similar I've been bruising really badly but after about 3 weeks they are now bruising much less@

Hey! I had them throughout my whole pregnancy. I'd say after 2 weeks, the bruising got better! Almost like my body got used to them x
