I didn’t know they should be able to yet?! My little girl doesn’t jump- she tries and bends her knees but she doesn’t go anywhere!
My boys jumped like a handful of times, he tries but most of the time can’t quite do it 😂
Nope, that's a much closer to or more likely after 2 year old milestone. My oldest took ages to perfect jumping even though she started trying way before. My June twins, B is starting to try and getting pretty good, A has shown no interest yet.
My little girl bends her knees but doesn't leave the ground... Will be more after 2 :) xx
Babies don't know how to jump, we've got to teach them, my daughter occasionally leaves the ground but most of the time her feet stay on the ground or one comes off, she'll get there eventually tho
My little girl tries to jump but just goes up onto tip toes.
Mine doesn’t yet x
My boy has only started actually coming off the floor maybe in the last three weeks and I suspect it's because he's watched his 3 year old bro doing it so he's been 'practicing' for a while haha. I wouldn't be concerned x
My yeah visitor sent me the 24 month review they will send out at the time (because mine has a speech delay and she wanted me to see what they expect of them at 2) and jumping with two feet off the ground was on there! I was thinking! Wow I thought my son only had a speech delay but going by that questionnaire there are a hell of a lot of things they expect of them at their 2 yr review that my son cannot do and quite frankly I didn’t think was normal for 2, but what do I know🤷🏽♀️
@Shay I think it is impossible though that any child will tick off everything on those questionnaires. They calculate each grouping and the range of within scope is fairly wide. X
Oh same. Baby girl has been obsessed with trying to jump and this week I’m starting to see she is slightly lifting off the ground. Before it was sort of a knee bend.
@Mou of course but I was just saying it was surprising to see how much they expect of a 2 year old in general
@Shay here's hoping we all get reasonable HVs. I feel the questionnaire is way more intimidating than the person assessing the results usually. My HV at my oldest review was like well she seems fine, within about 10 mins of us just being there. And that was with my June twins causing chaos i. The background 😂
@Mou oh my first HV was horrible! Worst part is that I had her for all the newborn visits but luckily at his 1 yr review I got someone else and I quickly asked to keep her instead! The thing with this one is that she told me she will refer my son for speech therapy if at 22 months he still hasn’t progressed and I’m still concerned, I called the other day and she changed her tone saying “oh we are not concerned until he is 3!” 😐 it’s just getting older and older now!
My LG doesn’t just leans forward to fall into us rather than jumps
