I’ve just tried something with my 11 month old, I’ve mixed boiled potato, steamed broccoli, egg and cheese and mashed together and then fried it in a pan to make sort of little pancake shapes. He seems to really like it and can pick them up himself and feed himself.

I’m always a bit stuck on what to give him too so if anyone else has any ideas would be much appreciated

Have you tried baby led weaning? Everything I have for dinner he has too. You just cut the food in appropriate ways for babies age. I’d say the best thing to start with which is super easy is pizza pin wheels. Buy ready rolled puff pastry. Roll it out & put tomato puree all over with cheese or your choice. Roll it up into a big roll & cut into pin wheel slices. Glaze with egg then in oven 180 for 20 mins. If you type in ‘blw pizza pin wheels’ recipes will come up. You can change the toppings.. peanut butter, soft cheese etc xx

Think it’s time to start giving them normal food, they should be exploring different textures and tastes at this point, literally anything you eat they can eat (bar a few things)

My baby eats everything I eat for breakfast, lunch and tea and has done since he was 6m old. He enjoys everything we offer him, so far we're 4 months in he's only ever not enjoyed celery and raw mushroom! He's eaten everything from curries, fish, pasta, stir fry, steak, roast dinner, fajitas, soup the list goes on.

I tend to feed my boy whatever I eat. For example today he had •shreddies with warm milk & a banana •Philadelphia & ham sandwich, melty puffs, grapes & raspberries •cortage pie, yoghurt & a satsuma I have noticed he's a bit funny with certain meats but I just keep trying them xx
