Desperate times, Desperate measures.

Someone tell me I'm not overreacting. Financial hardship but Im going back to work. The challenge is finding childcare. A family friend offered to babysit free of charge. She has a daughter, so I thought it'd be great. NO. It didn't dawn on me until I arrived home with the boys. she says my oldest peed through his diaper. He never does this. Occasionally overnight but rare. It clicked *her 1yo daughter always has a pissy saggy diaper* I get home and change them and there is left over shit, like she didn't properly wipe them now my oldest has a rash. This event makes me not want to hang out with her literally ever again. I might block and delete her number honestly. I got free child care but it cost me something.

you’re definitely not over reacting! not to say it’s ok, but i’d definitely bring it to her attention in a non confrontational way. and try to thug it out if you reaallyyy have no other option. if it doesn’t change i’d try to find care elsewhere. I made a facebook post in a local childcare app and thankfully a women reached out to me who actually owns daycares! she was able to squeeze both my children in for the price of one. it’s $1000 a month but w me not qualifying for a voucher and most daycares staring at 300-500 a week per child, it’s really been a blessing!! I say make a post! Incognito ofc to avoid creeps who may be in the groups.

She's doing it for free, she will not change a single thing if you ask. You need to find another option.

Not overreacting at all! If she offered to take care of them for free, you’d think there was love involved! Take care of the kiddos as best as possible! But if her own child isn’t properly hygiened, makes sense she would neglect your kids. I’m sorry you had to go through this. I would be furious!

@Jayla🤍 price of Day care is another reason I’m heavily considering starting an at home daycare once my baby arrives so I don’t have to go back to work full time. I get to stay home, & in the process help other mommy’s facing financial hardship!

free childcare is always a red flag 🚩

@Marie facts!! Free anything should be proceeded with caution.

@Liz if you were close I'd definitely go half with you because I considered the same thing!

@Ella I'm never planning to bring it up, really considering just cutting her out my life....
