Do you feel guilty calling in sick?

My baby decided to bring home an extra Mothers Day gift from nursery Friday, when she vomited all over her bed in the night. 'A one off' we thought as she was fine Saturday onwards... Ff to Monday morning and I'm up to vomit 😫 I've always been a 'go in on my deathbed' kinda person but since pregnancy I've put my health first more. But I still feel so guilty. I don't want to let anyone down, but I also don't want to give half the staff a sickness bug right before Easter holidays!! The 'rule' for the kids is 48hrs after the last symptoms but here I was this morning wondering if I should just go in less than 24hrs since I last vomited even though I still feel sick and shaky.

Don’t go in and spread it around. Have a guilt free rest day/clean the house after sickness bug day haha then you will be ready to go back tomorrow xx

I definitely do not feel guilty because they’d replace me in a month if I died. Take the sick day!

I had a sickness bug but told by my head it wasn’t the same 48 hours as it is for the children. I took the day off because my son was still ill so I had it unpaid 🙃 Do not feel guilty!! They will try and squeeze every ounce out of you if they can. Take what you need and add it to your cup x

Please ignore my vote I thought it said Shouldn't feel guilty. Mom brain moment lol

Aaaaand now her Dad is sick so I'm off today to look after her as we have no childcare 🫠
