I’m 22 weeks and haven’t. But my job found out not by me so they do know. I’m having Irish twins so I didn’t want the judgement
My family and close friends know (basically people we know will support us no matter what) and my job knows now too, but we haven't told others or made it "Facebook official" or anything yet. I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow and have been scared to tell people after experiencing two early losses. When you tell people is a super personal choice imo!
As an RN I told my job at 7 weeks because I didn’t want anyone stressing me or giving me patients with infectious diseases so it depends on how it benefits you.
I haven’t told any of my friends/ work still. Only our families know. Planning to tell close friends after the 20wk scan. I work remote so trying to push telling as much as I can. With the current job market worry how it’ll be taken. Super anxious to tell anyone because of 2 past early losses.
@Anons My job has specifically announced that layoffs are coming 😓 the uncertainty of it all is so rough. I hear you on that.
@Jade I also had two losses before this one. I'll be at 20 weeks on Monday. Fingers crossed for us both!
@Destiny Thank you, and yeah I agree that it's really up to me at the end of the day. I did announce to my immediate family today, and it went about as poorly as I had braced myself for. At least I don't have to agonize over it any longer I guess. On the bright side, we did learn this morning that we're expecting a girl!
I have yet to tell my side of the family, yes. Was planning on it the day of my anatomy scan if all goes well.
22 weeks today and haven’t announced yet. Every time I’m about to post on Facebook someone else Ty that I know has announced lol We’re also trying to take cute photos with our dog. It’s been a process
I didn't announce my pregnancy until my first ultrasound at 20 weeks. Ngl it's just your choice. If it's less stressful to keep it to yourself don't feel bad. Just do what you think is best just please make sure you have help if needed.
