High blood Pressure

Hey there. This is my second pregnancy and it’s Irish twins so they were back to back. But today at my check in they told me that my blood pressure being slightly elevated 132/76 if I have another they basically induce at 37 weeks because of affects it could have. Anyone deal with this and still make it to full term? Unless I go into labor naturally I don’t want to have him that early if I can help it. Or suggestions to help work on lowering BP

132/76 is barely high at all! Certainly manageable, so if you want to make it full term I would make sure they exhaust all options before thinking about inducing. Labetalol is a common medicine for controlling BP during pregnancy. As far as natural methods, things like turmeric and beet supplements can help. For me, I find exercise is the most helpful. About a 2 mile walk at least 4 times a week keeps me in the green (otherwise I push 140/90). Swimming can be just as helpful with lower stress on your body if you have access to a pool! I also recommend getting an at home BP cuff to help figure out what makes it go high and what helps

Pls listen to your doctor. 37 weeks is fine. I had my first baby at 37 weeks because of high bp which resolved one year after birth! High blood pressure can cause alot of complications for mom like stroke etc. listen to your doctor and keep monitoring at home. Best of luck. Ps- 132/76 is not bad but that’s how mine started and it kept climbing so I’m guessing if yours remains the same they might not induce at 37 weeks.

I had high blood pressure with my first and i had a safe delivery despite my preeclampsia I highly suggest you start taking some beet root to help bring it down a little
