This is just a personal experience, but my cousin had her ears pierced at 4 months (by a vetted professional) and she can't wear earrings anymore because they're very lopsided because of the way her ears grew. They were even as a baby but now at 30 the way her earlobes are shaped (normal, not weird or anything lol) the earrings don't sit evenly but the holes won't close so she can't get them redone.

3 months at Claire’s and everything was perfect 🩷

I personally waited until my daughter was 10 years old and asked for them herself. We made a whole day of it, getting food and ice cream afterward.

The earlier the better! I got my daughters at 2 months and her pediatrician did it at the office. She informed us that there’s a period of time you should avoid doing it because the baby will have more feeling and might tug on it (6m-2yrs)

they're often uneven later in life when pierced as an infant. I'd recommend waiting until she's growing less quickly lol

Why do unnecessary things to your baby? You should wait till they're older to it's not messed up by their ears growing and they can actually CHOOSE if they want holes in their own body.

I’m personally waiting bc I have my ears pierced and I don’t like wearing earrings. We decided to wait to see if she wants them when she is older. My niece had her daughter’s ears pierced at 2 months.

Holy moly. Don’t let anyone shame for for a simple piercing question. I got mine done as a baby, love them an adult and have zero issues with their placement.

We did it at 1 year but she was very wiggly. If I had another girl I would probably try from 5months to 10 months

Your baby so your choice!! You’re not a bad mom if you want to do it. There’s always going to be someone mad about this topic just like the topic on baby boys being circumcised.

Got my ears pierced as an infant and so did many of my cousins and friends as it’s a common thing for baby girls in the Hispanic community. None of us have had problems with them getting uneven. I wouldn’t do the gun tho as it can be rougher on the skin

We got my baby’s ears pierced at 4m at the doctor but this second baby is taking us long because we want to be take her to a piercing/tattoo shop, but she’s already getting to 6m 😩
