@Meg Yea I feel like it was kinda a rip off. So it was a "brunch" with a dj . The food was not bad but it was appetizers and it was not brunch like advertised smh. Yeah just didn't seem fair to me that I had to pay full price and then she didn't. But it is what it is.
I'm old school in that the person sending the invitation should pay for the event that they're hosting, and this nonsense is exactly why. This unpleasantry defeats the purpose of the celebration. If tickets are required, then everyone should be required to purchase one.
Was she a promoter or something?
@Raqi No she said she just flirted with the host to get in for free. Not sure if she's being completely honest though.
Oh well good for her then 😂
@Raqi 😂😂 Maybe they use to date idk at this point.
@Yâbbie Exactly!
I've been to parties at a restaurant where you pay for your meal but that's pretty standard. Unless it was at like a theme park or similar or a cruise type thing (I've been to a hens do on a cruise and we paid our way for that, but dinner was included) maybe I could understand, but then there's the question: Why have a party that is going to cost your guests so much. So yeah, that feels a bit off.
