Sippy Cups!

Just trying to get ready and start buying some items for weaning, those that have already started any recommendations for sippy cups? My little boy is now very interested in my coffee cup haha so he needs one of his own xx

Yes the munchkin 360 sippy cups with the lids on are brilliant. You see them everywhere. X

Open cups for meal times, and free flow sippy cups like the old school tommee tippee ones. The anti spill ones are trickier for them to get the hang of and require an unnatural mouth position to get drinks out.

I went to a weaning class and they said to just use normal open cups (like what adults use) as the whole point is to teach them about how to drink and how to use a cup. Maybe a sippy cup with lid for when out and about tho

when are you supposed to start using a cup with them? xx

I'll probably end up with a few to try lol so will look at open cups too thanks 😊

@Francesca I believe it's when you start weaning, so a little water with food x

The tommee tippee first sippy cup (the plain coloured ones costing about £1 something in supermarkets) is the best one we found for our daughter. So easy to use and good flow. She never got the hang of the anti spill ones which I wasted money on 🙈 She did also like the tum tum sippy cup which was a straw. I'll be starting with the tommee tippee one again this time and offering it without a lid when he's got a bit more coordination 😊 Just to add - my daughter used to yeet the open cups off her high chair and make a mess so we kept drinks lidded until she was a bit older...and she's fine and got there eventually in case anyone reads this and has a similar baby 😂

I offered the munchkin weighted straw cup to get her use to drinking water to begin with x

tommee tippee or a doidy cups are great!

we have a doidy and a tum tum straw cup xx
