Two year check

My daughter has her two year check next week and i'm so nervous. At her one year check she measured too small (height) and they said if she doesn't grow by 2 they will have to put her on a controlled food diet to prevent obesity, please bare in mind my daughter is just dinky and she isn't chubby at all! It's made me so nervous, she's very active and she's still skinny minus the little pop belly but doesn't every kid have one! Can i refuse it or is that wrong of me as a parent (neglect) ? She has a very good/balanced diet, she isn't fussy one bit! And i just thought she is a toddler, she'll grow eventually, they wouldn't do this for a fully grown adult??

You can refuse anything you’re not happy with. If she’s having a balanced diet anyway and you don’t see the need then refuse.

You have every right as the parent to ask questions, do research, and ultimately decide what's best for your child.

Can I ask how many months old your little one is please? My son is 2, and I’ve heard nothing about a 2 year check yet Sorry it’s not helpful!!

@Jayde 🤍 she's 24 months i had a letter a week before her 2nd bday x

@Jayde 🤍 they do them between two and two and a half, you'll probably get a letter in the next month or two :)

Not everyone gets one, I think it’s dependant on the area as my daughters 3 and never had a check up but definitely refuse x

My son was 2 in November and he only got his letter about 2 weeks ago. It’s booked for 2 weeks time so he’ll be 2 and 5 months by the time he has it. It’s up to 2.5 years.
