Vaccine

Any moms got their baby vaccine? It’s so many new ones out now I’m so worried! I hate how these doctors pressure you and try to make you feel bad if you turn certain ones down. Smh

Simple answer. NO. Ever looked up how many kickbacks they get from insurance companies ? That might help answer your question as to why so many..

I took my baby today and I declined her vaccine, the doc was pissed (not her regular pediatrician) @Lauren

You should do a significant amount of research to ensure that you have informed consent. I would also suggest looking at this list for a pediatrician near you that will allow you to make decisions for your baby, not every baby is the same and it shouldn’t be a one-size-fits-all approach. https://providers.drgreenmom.com/medical-freedom/?utm_source=organicsocial&utm_medium=instagram&utm_campaign=DGM_MedicalFreedomList_LinkInBio

Go onto Dr green mom.com and look for the providers list. This is an ever change cumulative list of peds who are either vaccine tolerant or vaccine friendly. My baby is 5 months and Dr hasn’t even brought it up.. If the Dr was pissed and dismissed my judgement of what I believe is best for my baby at this time- I would shake his hand and say thank you where is the door? Too many vaccine injuries for me to be okay with shooting her up with everything all at once..

@Lauren I had just posted the same link for Dr green mom lol

@Cherisma they don’t have a right to be pissed about medical decisions that you’re making for your child

Mine isn’t actually listed on there- my OB just told me someone like me would work well with her.. so far so good

@Lauren @Michelle I hate how they try to make you seem like you’re not being the best mom ! He kept saying what’s the reason? I said why I gotta explain to YOU by reasoning ? First off you’re not her pediatrician so I don’t have to explain anything. They don’t even make you feel comfortable…

We got all the shots and have had no problems. There are solid reasons for getting vaccines. At some of the older appointments our pediatrician talked to us about whether we wanted to spread some out between his 1 year and 18m though. We opted to get them at once so there weren't any at the 18m but plenty of people spread them between the two.

I would suggest reading the manufacturers insert for each of the vaccines, just the inserts is a good source of information. She breaks everything down so it is easy to understand and all the information she provides comes from the inserts

@Miriam I don’t have any issue with the shots, it’s the new ones that’s I’m uncomfortable with. Asking questions and telling them I want to think on it or do some research on it shouldn’t be a problem, but today this doctor made me feel like I’m not a good mom for saying i want to wait and research on it smh

@Michelle thank you

@Lauren thank you

Yes, hospitals and clinics will get more funding based off their dosages administered. If your pediatrician is pushing vaccines and only shaming without hearing your entire pov then best to find one who understands and appreciates that you have rights as a parent. There is too much info about the MMR vaccine (did you know Japan banned it in ‘93!) and the risks, look up the DTap vaccine side effects. There afe articles and podcasts out today with references on where to start.

@Jessica Dtap is exactly the one they was pushing and I said no

Babies have around 73 vaccines in the first few years now! It was not even half of that early 2000s.

I'm leaving this conversation. Clearly you just want someone to echo back misinformation.

@Miriam what misinformation? People clearly stating their opinion isn’t this group for people to help one another, with no judgment ! Clearly I said I’m not oppose to the shots it’s the new ones that’s makes me uncomfortable! I don’t have any issue with vaccines. My oldest is fully vaccinated it’s now the new ones that makes me uncomfortable…you can definitely exit the conversation no one’s holding you here, I just ask for opinions and help…I’m very much so conflicted on these NEW VACCINES! That’s it that’s all!

Also- from just the inserts

@Brooke not something your Dr probably wanted to tell you :)

And for the record I’m Not anti vax- I was a 90s kid.. I got em all…. But I’m not giving all these with super high levels of aluminum to my baby when it’s well above numbers deemed safe by our American medical institutions… no thank you

Also- my mom was a drug rep for 25 years (specifically for similac) not the same as a vaccine- but there was a lot of bribery she did ( Bringing in lunch/ paying for them to go golfing etc etc)… it’s business… that’s the thing… medical is a business- at the end of the day it’s about the bottom line- once you can admit that it makes sense. Doesn’t mean you don’t seek treatment or take things- but best not to bury head in the sand.
