Projectile vomit

Hi all, when do I need to be concerned about projectile vomit? Little guy is 9 months old and this is the first time with had anything other than spit up. We’ve had 3 vomits in the last hour, can I just put it down to a stomach bug? He’s new to crawling and did face plant the metal frame of his jumperoo earlier but only cried for a short time, like he scared himself more than anything, no mark or lump on his head. Do I need to worry about concussion or am I just being paranoid?

My little girl had a bug recently and it was the first time she’s ever had one, she’s 11 months old now, and she was projectile vomiting everywhere, we took her to hospital to make sure because she couldn’t even keep water down and was so sweaty and shaking 😩 they said a lot is going round at the moment, so they told us to keep her off milk for 24 hours if we can, and offer things like toast, or juice as a replacement because milk can upset their bellies more and curdle with the bacteria from the bug actually making them more sick, so we offered our girl apple juice and some toast until she was clear of any more vomiting from when we left the hospital at 3:30am in morning until evening when she went to bed at 6pm, I offered her a bottle at bed and she kept it down, and was okay after that, she was being sick 4/5 times every hour, so when the hospital told us, to avoid milk, it calmed right down, I hated seeing it, made me awful as a parent, poor child just threw up and slept for days!

But honestly bugs are completely normal, if it was the head bump he’d have thrown up within an hour of doing it if not instantly. So it wasn’t that don’t panic! Bugs unfortunately are worse for babies because their stomachs are so much smaller and can’t handle it as well as we do, hope he feels better soon! Lots of cuddles, lots of fluid, try apple juice or water, and some toast, and avoid milk for a little while If you can! Sending hugs and kisses! It’s all normal mumma, it’s scary, but normal ❤️

I’d take him to get checked in A&E asap, if its just a bug at least you’ve checked to make sure.
