Any baking mamas?

*roanoke area* Not sure if anyone else has seen on social media the Cake Picnic event in San Francisco that just happened in March. I’d love to do something similar in my area, with other mamas who enjoy baking! The actual concept of Cake Picnic is trademarked so we couldn’t call it the same thing or be associated with it in anyway, but the idea can be the same. For anyone who hasn’t heard of Cake Picnic, the concept is basically everyone that attends has to bring a homemade cake (it can be anything you want, any level of skill) and then everyone gets to go around and take a slice from whatever cakes they want to try. So it’s a great way to socialize, make friends, and try all different types of cake! And we could even throw in the element of letting the kids have a big play date on top of it. I didn’t know if there would be anyone in the Roanoke area that would want to give this a try, but I think it’d be an amazing opportunity for making friends and enjoying some damn good cake!
