She ignores me, a draft that should have been done months ago she has not done, every time i call for an update they keep ignoring me. WHAT DO I DO?! I just want to get this divorce over with? I am so tired he has now decided to not deposit money into our account as stipulated in the agreement and I am broke! Can’ even get groceries or leave the house because I had to pay all that we owed because it was auto pay and he does not care!!! I am so stressed. What can I do?!

So sorry... very tough time . What country u in? That crazy about yours lawyer... did u initiate divorce and how many kids? Finding another lawyer would have been better. Most rates are $ 200-150 / hour... lucky if you find less. They're supposed to give u detail of what they charge, not phantom number. E.g. if the lawyer reads your email and u say something on it and she spend time responding eg 20 min. They charge that but if u say thanks in an email etc small things shouldn't be charged. Right? Is she a scam or for small fee compared to rest?

If she works at a firm with other attorneys I would keep calling and ask to speak to someone more competent than her and request to be reimbursed because you paid so and so much and have not received adequate communication and she has not done what she was hired to do. If it’s a cheap attorney they usually don’t care as much and if you aren’t paying that much they won’t give much effort unfortunately and probably hope you take it as a loss and go elsewhere. Crap situation but hope you find resolution, and leave a review that always impacts their work big time as others will see what kind of attorney they really are and won’t want to hire them.

Hey so check out the website findhelp.org and you might find some resources that might help you with different things you need if you are in the states

Have you tried emailing? My lawyer was regularly in court or at the courthouse filing so calling was hard. She always responded via email same day.
