We've been doing taste tests. Have her get familiarized with flavors alone. If she likes the taste, we gove her the whole thing. My mom did this with me when I was a baby, and it's been working for us, too.
We have done baby oatmeal mixed with formula, pureed sweet potato and pureed broccoli. We are going to try pureed carrots next but I've been looking into baby led weaning so we will probably do a mix or switch over completely in a few weeks
My daughter turns 6 months old on April 12th and last week we started putting her in the high chair and we're giving her spoonfuls of breast milk and I let her play with her spoon and plate and we do this while the whole family is eating because she was already showing interest in other people's food
Yes! Mine has tasted a couple things so far (applesauce, bananas, avocado) and loved everything. He’s to the point where he begs for food even more than my dogs do 🤣😅
@stephanie I’ve been doing the same thing! She always makes confused faces it’s hilarious
My little boy was 6 months this week so we have started as he's now sitting up really well. He's been loving it so far. Done puree veggies and mash potatoes. Today I gave him some cucumber sticks.
We’ve been on solids since 4 1/2 months. He wasn’t showing interest yet but Dr said he may be ready do we tried. Now he’s all about it!
My little girl is soooo interested in food, but she isn’t showing all the signs of readiness yet. As soon as she can sit up on her own, we’ll be good to go!
Same not super interested. Only tasting things. I feel like I’m forcing bits at times :( no judgment please. She can sit up. Obsessed with straws. Reaching for my food/ plate might be curious but not opening mouth actively for bites. Everything seems to be a yuck what the heck is this face
I started adding a little bit of cereal to her bottles to thicken and gill her up a little more than just the Milkies
We’ve been doing intros for a while. Prior to him even eating anything I was just sitting him in the high chair and letting him play with either toys or food so that he could get used to it!
