Bellybutton clean
Hi,
5months old and looks like dirty belly button but tried cleaning it and it’s not really coming out.. how do I get to it? Other half tried to use cotton swab but didn’t want to go too crazy trying to get it in case it hurt or not supposed to?

It’s probably dry skin where the umbilical cord has healed
It’s normal for their bellybutton looking “dirty” black stain. Some babies have it until 20 months so don’t worry. I asked my GP and she said that. Just gently clean it with a swab , don’t try to take off the black stain
