Nursery

Hiya, I’m unsure of when is a good time to start setting up the nursery. We’re looking to move and I worry I might leave the nursery set up too late! When do you recommend? X

I think she means the nursery in her house. Honestly, my 1 year old still doesnt have a nursery set up 🤣 she has a cot in our spare room and thats about it x

@Rachel omg same here. I have a changing table in my room and a bedside cot. I literally can’t be bothered with it 😂😂😂

Oh god sorry I read this as a nursery not the bedroom haha x

It doesn't really matter as they'll be in your room for at least the first six months (at least) anyway so won't spend much or any time in there. My two year old still sleeps in my bed and doesn't use his room so I've not bothered making it cute yet.

I wouldn’t worry about it, my daughter didn’t sleep in her own room until over a year old, so we never had a ‘nursery’. They will be in your room for at least the first 6 months, every one I know who has set up gorgeous looking nurseries have barely used them.

We did a nursery but it's been so far unused (8 month old). However, painting and setting it up, putting it up with my partner was my FAVOURITE part of nesting and so though you may not use it, take the opportunity to set it up exactly as you'd love your baby to have it and enjoy getting excited!! You can always sit and play in there so it can still be a lovely area. My baby's clothes and back up nappies etc in the nursery so it keeps the rest of the house tidy

We didn’t worry as bubs was in with us till around 9 months old so there’s no major rush! I’d say it was fully done by the time he was 5 months old maybe x
