Don’t worry at all, some babies only actually take a decent amount closer to 12 months!! Every baby is different. Put the foods in front of her, ditch the purées (if she’s turning her head away and going tight lipped and you keep trying, she may develop an aversion), and eat at the same time as her! Modeling is the best thing you can do I.e. eat the same foods at the same time! Offer her an open cup with some water to play with - she doesn’t necessarily need it at this stage as they should be having breastmilk / formula - it’s more for learning how to use the utensil. You’re doing a great job ☺️ xx
I wouldn’t worry! Baby is only 6 months old, just take it slow, there’s no rush.
Please don’t worry (easier said than done I know) - my second was a nightmare, he clamped his mouth shut for months. I would just dab food on his lips in hope that the flavour would entice him to open his mouth… eventually around 10 months he ate some porridge after offering it everyday for about 3 months 🫠 He did eat a few melty sticks here and there but no “real food” until around 10 months. He was never interested in eating what I was (and still isn’t at 2yo), but all you can do is offer the food.
Most babies don't eat a full meal on their first try. This is the issue with social media. People show stuff that isn't necessarily true. Sounds like they aren't ready. Are you giving milk before or after? If they dont want to drink water yet it's fine cos their hydration comes from formula or breastmilk anyway.
