My daughter has eczema and was prescribed epimax, I used it and no problems. However I’ve stopped using it now and use diprobase and she was also prescribed hydromol which is a really greasy ointment. No issues with any of the creams I’ve been using x
Used it and to an extent it helped. But he skin is still dry not as before though. Plan switching to aveeno the one for very dry skin. I also plan to use Vaseline to seal the moisture after putting on the cream. We used epimax since birth till now (9months) and also combined it with epaderm…
My baby was prescribed Epimax and it's definitely helped her skin. I've never used it in the bath though as above comment x
We also got prescribed and it was crap. Made it worse and it’s so greasy,we saw a different gp after being given this, and he said he had no idea why we was given this,so he prescribed little one dakacort, which is a hydrocortisone cream a steroid of 1%,so it won’t thin the skin. And it’s worked wonderd, and cleared up after a week
My son is allergic to epimax, it blocks his pores and makes him rashy and made his skin a lot worse x
We had it prescribed for my son for exactly the same reason when he was a baby, and it was fantastic. At the beginning we used it in the bath and as a moisturiser, and it does have a weird texture like mayonnaise as mentioned above! But he is three now and we still use it as a like moisturiser post the bath. You can it buy off Amazon. It doesn’t have any ‘nasties’ in it.
My baby has been prescribed the pink epimax. After 3 weeks of use her skin has improved but is still very dry. My dr prescribed something else for her yesterday so see if it improves.
@De'Avion that’s exactly how it left my boys skin aswell,we was prescribed the same one
I use this prescribed for eczema and it’s worked really well!! All Cleared up now! We use in his bath too oilatum this with the Epimax has cleared everything completely! I also use a bath water filter too
Whatever you do, DO NOT use it on your baby’s face it can cause really really bad eye irritation and I’ve been in A&e with my boy due to it. Says it can cause ocular damage.
@Phoebe wowwww I use it on my boys face 😳
It’s a safe cream, just do not apply to the face. It’s not a steroid cream. I prescribe it all the time. I wouldn’t bat an eyelid applying it to my babies skin.
@Michelle wowwww so what are you using on baby’s face😭?
@Wey I use it on baby’s face but have always avoided eyes.. never had a problem

@Shannon I think it’s the chance your baby could rub into the eyes and what it could cause for them. It says not to be prescribed for use on faces and certainly not that of a baby. I’m only saying this as we ended up at the hospital due to this cream
@Shannon yea I understand but with how quick babies are I also understand @Phoebe point..
@Wey any other cream. Just not Epimax. It’s new guidelines that came out last year.
Hey so I have really bad eczema and use epimax on myself, Its been prescribed to me since I was around 3 months old. Safe to say I would recommend it and it does help. However just one warning, using as a substitute for soap in the bath does leave an oily rim around your bath and it is hard to clean it off. (However my mum bought me a brilliant life hack, because of the extra water it uses you can get money off your water bill as you NEED the extra water to clean the bath.) also it looks like mayo and is very thick and chunky in consistency. I’m letting you know because honestly when I first saw it I was so confused and scared to touch it
