Pregnant with second after pre-eclampsia with first

I've just found out I'm pregnant with my second after 8 months of trying, so absolutely over the moon, but after the initial excitement I'm now worried about how I can prevent getting pre-eclampsia again in this pregnancy. We have agreed if I get pre-eclampsia again then this will be my final pregnancy, which I really don't want as I always envisioned 3 or 4 kids. With my first I got diagnosed at 36w5d, then got induced and had her at 37w, but lost a fair amount of blood and ended up needing a blood transfusion. She always measured in the 99th percentile, and was only 8st pre pregnancy and 5ft3, so on the small side, which I don't know if this had anything to do with it, but given my partner is tall, I'm expecting the have a big baby this time round too. Is there anything I can do to help prevent it a second time round? I know they will likely prescribe aspirin, but I want to do anything additional to help. Also, now having intense feelings of guilt that my first will no longer have all our love and attention.

I’ve had my 2nd in January. They prescribed asprin from 12 weeks I think for 2nd and honestly I had no problems. Even recovery was easier with 2nd xx

I am in the same boat, I am currently 20 weeks and they are treating my pregnancy like it’s a first pregnancy but with consultant care. I have more scans, appointments and see a doctor in hospital occasionally. My boy was big as well. I think with monitoring and extra care it should be okay.
