Anxiety early pregnancy

For context I have had two pregnancies that lead to two beautiful and healthy girls. No history of miscarriage or anything. Always been healthy and active. But I do live with anxiety and every pregnancy the first trimester I am a MESS the whole time. This one’s the worst. My heart beats so hard all day and my jaw is tense and hurting all day and night. I’m only 5 weeks and I’m so worried. How do you stay calm? How can I control my anxiety? Any tips appreciated.

I’m not sure if mine is anxiety related. I’ve brought it up to the midwife and they seem to think it’s just a combination of lack of water and everything changing/growing in pregnancy that can make you get that feeling. I get to the point where I can’t breathe and I feel like I’m going to pass out. Heart rate up to 130’s-150’s. I’ve just learned to deal with it but it started early pregnancy too and I’m 27 weeks. I found that if I put cold water on my face it helps. Like ice cold water. Along with keeping myself hydrated. I hope that can help you a bit! The cold water can help with the anxiety and drinking the water can help keep your body at bay when pregnant as you know I’m sure.

Your not alone on this one, sending hugs as it’s so tough 😢 I’m having my second and currently 10 weeks, I have struggled with anxiety my whole life but pregnancy definitely elevates it. I also mentioned to my midwife at the 8 week appt, she calmed me down a little saying it’s just your body getting used to all of the changes and the hormones. But even so it’s still tough on some days. I’m thinking of trying some pregnancy yoga 🧘‍♀️
