Braxton Hicks??

I'm almost 23 weeks and I'm noticing some slight tightening sensations and very mild aches. I looked up common feelings of Braxton hicks and how early they can start and its seeming it could be it. I thought it was just baby twisting and turning but possibly not? Does this sound about right or perhaps something else? I've also had this odd ache in my groin on the left side. Nothing too painful but just uncomfortable. I've been doing a lot of walking lately so I realize it could be exercise related but not sure.

I’m only 21 weeks and I’ve been experiencing this too. My doctor said it’s normal 🤷🏽‍♀️ I have the groin pain on the left side too, it’s so uncomfortable!

Same. With a little bit of cramping. Also I feel like I hear my bones in my thighs popping and pain in my groin too

The tightening is Braxton hicks, usually starts in second trimester so it’s totally normal. The ache is probably from ligaments loosening up in preparation for delivery. Try gentle stretches to help with it.

I noticed this today too at 23 weeks!

@Teri Im happy to hear that it’s normal at an early stage! I’ve been feeling them for weeks and thought it was just baby twisting versus the regular kicks and stretches. The groin pain, however, I can certainly do without. It is very uncomfortable indeed.

@Janae Oh my!! I swear… it always feels like something new, doesn’t it?! The groin pain is so uncomfortable but to also hear the popping… What could you do to ease some of that?

@Deborah Thank you for affirming this. It dawned on me yesterday after feeling the aching throughout the entire day. I immediately thought of Braxton hicks and when I read about the symptoms, I was like that makes so much sense.

@Anna👼👶👼👼 Haha there’s something in the air! I suppose what I’m reminding myself through this is that we are getting close to the third trimester and so many things are about to change!

Same!! The pain in the groin scared me bc sometimes it’s bad right after I stand but I just asked my doctor about it and she said it’s totally normal. It’s just all the pressure of the belly setting and she suggested a belly band or tape

@Saraí That makes so much sense. I keep forgetting to order a belly band so you just reminded me, thank you!!
