All nurseries are different but when my boy got 15 free hours, we only used 10 hours per week(all year round not just term time). And our bill was about £60 per month. With the government top up we was paying about £50 and them topping up the extra £10 ish. Something like that x
Have a look on their website to see if they have a calculator? We will still pay £27 a day with the funding. I can then minus 20% tax free too.
So I would recommend looking at the gov website as it will tell you your entitlement!:) so for instance we are a working household so from September our son will get 30 free hours! Then your nursery will have sessions, normally morning, afternoon or all day. If you spread your 30 hours across a 8-6pm day for instance then you would get 3 full days of free childcare hours and therefore would pay for the remaining day and how much you pay depends on what the nursery charges for the session you choose!:) then you deduct the amount of discount/top up you are in entitled to from the gov ☺️
I think it may be a good idea to ask the nursery you’re looking at because they usually provide the price list including the government funding.
