No birthday wishes

As long as my mom, sister and husband did I'd be happy. But if they forgot I'd absolutely be upset

What annoys me is when people say Happy Birthday the day before or the day after.

I’m the type to make a whole dang Happy Bday to me post for myself lol anyone who wanna comment can comment 💁🏻‍♀️ so no I don’t get upset. Because people do eventually do even if they forgot 😂 i get a ton of comments wishing me Happy Bday. The day is only what you make of it

Kinda… depends who. If my husband or parents don’t say anything, that hurts. My mom forgot my 8th and 10th birthday even though she had custody of me those days, and that made me a little numb to it. This year, my best friend and brother never wished me a happy birthday but I let it go. People have lives, and I forget birthdays all the time. But when it comes to the really important people, I can definitely get in my feels about it. I gotta say though, my grandma told my sister that she purposely “forgot” to wish me a happy birthday this year because she was bothered I didn’t visit her the last time I was in town (my 1 year old had the flu when we were visiting CA from TN). That actually upset me to find out, it was personal and mean for a petty reason.

I will always go beyond to wish, plan and gift family and relatives for their birthdays. Not normal bothered by these things or expect anything from anyone but I felt hurt and forgotten by my family and husband, especially as it was the first one as a mother. It amazes me that work colleagues and high school friends remembered but not the people who matter to me. Anyway, still had a great day with my baby, sang, danced, took a pictures and i ate all the cake 😋.

I’m so sorry they did that i’m sure they felt terrible when they realised! Glad you had a lovely day with your little one, the greatest gift anyway 🥰
