Stupidly, I forgot to claim for my December 24 LG until just before she was 3 months. I put the claim in at end of Feb. Didn’t think it was an issue because they backdate up to 12w, so I’ve just been waiting for the money to appear, which can take up to 12 weeks for 1st payment. It’s arrived but it’s actually only for c10 weeks. That is right, based on DOB and when the claim was put in. I was however expecting them to back date from DOB to claim (received) and then pay the weeks between the claim going in and today ie. The weeks they’ve been processing the application. Is that not right? Do they just backdate between DOB and claim date?

I had it in 2 payments 10 days apart one for back pay and then one on my actual paydate x
I got my whole payment backdated to the DOB and up to date all in one, might be different but I’d get in contact with them if you don’t receive it all
Thanks ladies. I did wonder whether it might be done in 2 payments. I’ll give it a couple weeks, see whether it arrives & then make some enquiries x

They did that to me then the next day I got another payment of £102 and that is my actual pay date x
