Night terrors

My daughter has started with night terror over the last week or so. It's not every night but some nights she might have 2 others 1 and then others none. Does anyone have any advice on things that have worked with their kids? I know it's probably just a phase but if I can do something to make it happen less then that would be great. I feel so helpless when she goes through this. Thanks in advance

My son's had night terrors since he was 2, they're much less frequent now and he can go weeks/months without having one. We found nothing that helps reduce the frequency, he just kind of started having less of them. All you can do is be there when she has them and comfort her the best you can. Our worst night was when he had 10 in one night, but that was when he was 2.5. It's awful seeing them so scared, but as long as you're there comforting her there's no much else you can do

@Chelsey thank you. She has had nightmares before but never these, I feel so helpless. She had them last night and has been so tired today but can not remember anything about them, thank goodness. I guess it's just a waiting game for them to stop

@Kimberley my little one never even remembers waking up at all. It's so hard feeling so helpless, but it is a phase that will eventually pass

@Chelsey thank you
