Toddler not wanting to go to nursery

We’ve had a period of this recently plus showing new hitting / pushing behaviours at nursery, it’s so tricky! My son had been at the nursery for 9 months prior to this starting so similarly he’d already been going a while. Like Jen, he’s ok when I take him in but when his dad drops him off he’s really upset as he’s very clingy to him currently. Could you try having your partner drop him off for a while, see if that helps at all? Thank you both for your replies! I dropped him off at nursery this morning and he looked so sad walking in which broke my heart, but it's reassuring to know it's quite normal and not necessarily an issue with the nursery 😊 the love button is a cute idea, I might try that with him tomorrow!
My son absolutely loves nursery he only seems to get upset if he has woken from a nap but he is doing whole days now so doesn’t really get a nap before he goes and he sleeps there he is always happy going in and is always so happy when we pick him up he has only had one time when they struggled to calm him down but he got sun cream in his eye and they put sorted it and put him down for a nap and he woke up happy as Larry
Yes my little boy was the same but think the split days didn’t help. He’s also happy when collected. I spoke to nursery about it which helped and they said it can be normal. When my partner takes him he skips in happily but when I take him he resists more so he’s definitely feeling more clingy with me at the moment. He says as soon as he wakes I’m not going to nursery today so I was worried but feeling a bit better about it now. He’s just turned 3
