Gigi for a name?

What does everyone think of the name Gigi? I love it and would like to use it for my little girl but wondering how it will age for an adult woman, do you think it sounds too childish?

Being completely honest, it reminds me of someone’s grandma as it’s a commonly used nickname for a grandmother

It sounds more like a nickname for a name to me, like Georgia or Virginia , and so if you did like that idea then shed have the option to be known by her ‘full’ name . It is pretty tho as a name itself :)

I think it’s nice it reminds me of the model Gigi hadid

That’s my mom’s grandma name and I think many people use it as a grandma name. Take that as you will.

I really like the name! It’s on my shortlist if we have another girl but I’m pretty sure we’re having a boy this time so probably won’t get to use it :(

My friend’s daughter is called Georgina but they call her Gigi for short you could do that

It’s cute 🥰 2 celebs i follow just named their daughters Gigi

Gigi is super cute! I wouldn’t worry about it sounding “childish,” plenty of people have names that are more unique and playful 💕

At least you’re thinking about it. There’s gonna be a lot of kids named Poppy Rose of Sharon and Carter Clipper-ship because their parents thought it sounded cute.

LOVE it

I honestly don’t like it. My little sister is named Gianna and she went by Gigi as a baby/ through childhood. Some family members still call her that and I just think it’s annoying. Something about Gigi is weird to me as a name, I don’t even like it for a grandparent’s name. Consider naming your daughter something with the letters G & I in it and use Gigi as a nickname, and if it sticks then she can always go by that name with a more mature one when it’s needed in adulthood.

Unique, love it. We are calling our daughter Saoirse.
