Fear during pregnancy

Do you think fear during pregnancy is from the enemy? And how to you combat it? I’m almost there and just getting the most random fears that I won’t even speak to here because deep down I know it’s not worth it. Thanks Mamas 🫶🏼

I heard once before that if you have God then there is no need to fear. With that being said it's not like that immediately prevents you from ever fearing evil things again. Read the Bible, pray to God, lay everything out to Him. Especially the deepest darkest fears and He will comfort you.

I had a sense of impending doom almost hanging over me like a cloud during my 2nd pregnancy. I was not yet a Christian so I didn’t think in terms of the enemy or anything. I honestly thought it was some kind of intuition that something was not going to go right with the pregnancy or my baby. Long story shorter, though, my pregnancy and baby were just fine, but I did lose my mom, so now whenever I think back, I do wonder if that was it. Seems like it because I didn’t have that same dark cloud following me afterwards. It was just grief, but not a feeling of “the other shoe is about to drop,” if that makes sense. Now that I’m a Christian, no doubt that I would turn to prayer immediately and cancel any wicked schemes of the enemy, including any attack on my mind. Here for you if ever you need to vent! ♥️

Personally I do not think even in most cases it is spiritually caused by a demon….but rather it is part of our own flawed human condition that causes us to have anxiety and worry despite having a loving God who watches over us and that gets USED by the enemy to either tempt us in different circumstances or draw us away from God. So do not give room to the enemy by having fear but instead draw near to God. I would recommend doing a Bible study on fear and search up all the relevant passages and see what God’s response to fear is.

There’s no need to over-spiritualize fear in pregnancy — it’s completely normal to fear the unknown especially if this is your first pregnancy. Just don’t dwell on your fear because you have a relationship with God whose love is greater. Pray and remember that He’ll be with you in every step of your labor and delivery ❤️
